Haïti : une île cahotique et attachante.
Confrontés au meilleur et au pire,
nos héros sauront-ils oublier leur passé
pour vivre leur amour ? Two police officers on both sides of the Atlantic ocean join their forces in the police department of the United Nation from which they are projected in the midst of a blazing and destitute island : Haiti. Caroline comes from Quebec, and is a fresh, although talented policewoman, in the police force, whereas Patryck, a man from Aquitaine, is an experimented policeman. Both of them are specialized in the hunt of rapers and child murderers whose crimes are devastating the remotest Haïtian villages. In the course of adventurous missions they discover the appealing side of this chaotic island as well as the luminous tenderness of its children. Their investigations bring them to commit temselves entirely to counter the worst atrocities perpetrated by these murderers fearing neither God nor man : incestuous parents, behaving like possessed zombies, or rioters in fury. Caroline and Patryck pledge themselves to fighting men’s madness, shout-outs, rivers rising at earth level, tropical sandstorms… Eventually, despite their differences, the unavoidable happens between the two of them : an all-consuming passion with the Ocean as sole witness. Will their love destroy them ? Behind the shadowy parts of themselves that keep troubling them, which secrets may lie hidden in their their respective civilian lives ? No one emerges unhurt from this journey through sky and dust.
