Claquer la porte. Marcher.
Marcher jusqu'au bout de la route...
Jusqu'à ce que l'image cesse d'être floue. Thomas Coq is a photo-reporter aged thirty. One day, his own pictures frighten him so much that he leaves everything: his work, his friends, his partner, and his cameras. He departs and runs off on the roads. Under the influence of this new freedom, he wanders randomly and follows his fate, in the sweetness of the summer end. But the beautiful days don’t last, rain at first, wind then cold. As harsh weather settles, Thomas Coq discovers that the road can be cruel, that hunger and freezing weather become his worst enemies. His survival depends on his capacity to get closer to a big city. His road crosses then an old homeless person, Vladimir Frayon, a philosopher that will protect him. He will teach to him how to survive in winter in the vast hostile city. When spring returns, both men leave the city, southwards to the mountains. They are going to meet a very singular traveling company of circus performers, which calls itself ‘le Peuple du Vent et de la Terre’. Among the strange characters that compose this group, two fairies, Laïs and Isla, will disturb Thomas Coq and give him back a taste for life. At the end of his trip, the photo-reporter will discover a new meaning to his life and will finally feel free.
